Senior AP Accountant

The Role
We are looking for a Senior AP Accountant to join our Accounts Payable team. In this role, you will be responsible for end‑to‑end AP activities, including accurate invoice and payment processing, validation of payments, and close cooperation with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

The main purpose of the job is:  

• Independently process and validate vendor invoices in line with company policies and accounting principles
• Process, review and validate vendor payments, ensuring correctness, completeness and compliance before execution
• Monitor payment-related issues and resolve discrepancies in cooperation with Treasury and internal stakeholders
• Reconcile vendor accounts and follow up on open and outstanding items
• Manage invoice and payment workflows and approvals in Basware
• Communicate with suppliers and business stakeholders regarding invoice and payment status, discrepancies, and resolutions
• Support month-end closing activities, AP reconciliations and operational reporting
• Ensure high quality and consistency of AP transactions in line with internal controls
• Support onboarding and knowledge sharing within the AP team as a senior team member

What you will need to be successful:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable (mandatory)
• Very good understanding of invoice processing and vendor payment execution, including validations and controls
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Basware (must-have)
• Practical experience working in SAP (must-have)
• Experience with Epicor is an advantage
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset
• Good command of English (minimum B2 level)
