The Opportunity

The Grass Valley Global Quality Team collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle to ensure customer satisfaction, product quality, reliability, and continuous improvement across safety, quality, cost, and technology.
Quality Engineer plays a key role in maintaining expected quality performance across the full product lifecycle and ensuring that the Quality Management System (QMS) and supporting processes deliver best-in-class results. This role actively contributes to the definition, development, and maintenance of Grass Valley’s global quality strategy, policies, processes, procedures, and tools, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Your Role
  • Actively support all Quality Systems activities in alignment with company quality policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during new product development to ensure robust, reliable products and repeatable, reproducible manufacturing processes.
  • Partner with Supplier Management on supplier assessments, component validation, issue resolution, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing process effectiveness, improving product quality, and reducing non-conformances.
  • Interpret technical documentation including blueprints, drawings, configurations, and customer requirements to support quality activities.
  • Perform quality and engineering analyses, including calculations, data evaluation, and conclusion reporting.
  • Run investigations and failure analyses; coordinate with relevant teams to implement containment actions and long-term corrective measures.
  • Contribute to the development of quality and business-intelligence tools, data models, algorithms, and reporting dashboards (AI).

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a production or factory quality-focused role.
  • Experience in a process or quality engineering role within electro-mechanical manufacturing environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data analysis and experimentation to identify root causes and drive effective corrective actions.
  • Ability to translate technical findings into actionable plans and clear directions for cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Intermediate or advanced experience with Jira, Confluence, SalesForce, Microsoft Power BI development, DAX programming, and SQL is preferred.
  • Understanding of the broadcast industry and/or audio-video products is a plus.
