Scrum Master

Breda, Netherlands
Full Time
Mid Level

The Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled Scrum Master to drive and enhance the delivery of software and FPGA features for our professional broadcast camera platforms. In this position, you will lead multiple development teams through sprint planning, execution, and review, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features for sophisticated, real-time imaging systems.

In addition to overseeing daily sprint activities, you will actively contribute to improving our development processes and workflows. While prior experience with hardware development is beneficial, it is not required. A strong understanding of FPGA design is critical due to the close integration of FPGA and software in our products, and having a PMP certification is an added advantage.

Your Role
  • Own and facilitate the full scrum process, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives for software and FPGA development teams.
  • Drive clear sprint objectives and deliverables, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and product goals for broadcast‑grade camera systems.
  • Align closely with the Product Manager to prioritize and balance development work across multiple firmware and software functions, ensuring the teams focus on the highest-value features and dependencies.
  • Coordinate closely with software engineers, FPGA designers, hardware teams, QA, and system architects to remove obstacles, clarify requirements, align with hardware schedules, and support smooth execution.
  • Ensure transparent reporting of sprint progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders across engineering and product management.
  • Continuously improve development processes, strengthening collaboration, predictability, and quality across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Promote Agile best practices and ensure consistent application across teams.
  • Support long‑term planning, including release planning, capacity forecasting, and synchronization with adjacent hardware and system development activities.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager in a technical R&D environment.
  • Hands‑on understanding of FPGA development flows (mandatory).
  • Experience in guiding software development teams; experience with hardware development is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira or similar.
  • Strong understanding of embedded or real‑time system development processes.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with distributed teams.
  • Team player.
  • Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken,  as the role involves close collaboration with international engineering teams.
  • Experience in broadcast, imaging, audio/video, or other high‑performance electronics domains is an advantage.

Working Conditions
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • A dynamic, collaborative, and supportive working environment within a high‑performance R&D organization.
