XIP and ACE Team
As a member of the team working on Grass Valley’s XIP-3911 Application Platform, you will contribute to the development of advanced video processing systems used in live broadcasting environments. This platform supports high-definition (HD), 4K ultra-high-definition (UHD), and high dynamic range (HDR) video formats, which are essential for delivering high-quality live content such as sports, news, and entertainment.

The Role
Our collaborative international team consists of members located in Poland and Canada. This role involves close cooperation across time zones, with regular team synchronization typically taking place between 3 PM and 5 PM CET.

As part of the team, you will contribute to projects that span the full development life cycle - from backend to frontend, including automated testing and continuous integration environments. Our work culture emphasizes collaboration, quality, and agility. You will have the opportunity to work on modern CI/CD pipelines, actively participating in building and maintaining systems that support seamless development processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in a multicultural environment and enjoy being involved in all stages of software development.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain software that enables broadcasters to manage and process video signals in real time.
  • Work on integrating traditional Serial Digital Interface (SDI) video signals with modern Internet Protocol (IP)-based workflows, helping customers transition to more flexible and scalable systems.
  • Contribute to the development of the XIP-3911-GRID firmware, which addresses limitations in commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) servers by significantly increasing the number of video signals a single server can handle, from around 12 to up to 128.
  • Collaborate on solutions that use Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) modular hardware to create a high-speed gateway between physical video inputs and Grass Valley’s cloud-native AMPP GRID platform.
  • Help customers reduce their hardware footprint while increasing performance and scalability by supporting edge compute workflows with high input/output density.

This work will directly impact how broadcasters and media organizations deliver content to audiences around the world, making your contributions both technically challenging and highly visible.
