The Role:
Grass Valley is seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Lab Engineer to support our R&D hardware operations and contribute to the development of next-generation technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for managing lab infrastructure, handling hardware procurement, and assisting in validation and performance testing of our cutting-edge media processing solutions.
Your primary focus will be on maintaining an efficient and well-organized lab environment, ensuring seamless hardware deployments both in cloud and on-premises setups. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance to engineers regarding lab configuration and test setups involving high-end media processing platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lab & Inventory Management
- Maintain lab infrastructure, ensuring a well-organized and efficient environment
- Track, manage, and optimize hardware inventory
- Procurement & Hardware Logistics
- Execute hardware orders for the R&D team, ensuring timely availability of necessary components
- Collaborate with internal vendors and monitor deliveries
- Test Setup & Server Deployment
- Assist in building and configuring test environments, including server installation and hardware setups
- Ensure correct integration of high-performance computing and media processing solutions
- Work with on-premises and cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Hardware Validation & Performance Testing
- Support hardware validation tests, ensuring compliance with product requirements
- Assist in performance testing, collecting data to optimize system efficiency
- Technical Guidance & Collaboration
- Provide technical expertise on lab configurations to support testing and development efforts
- Work closely with QA and Software engineers to improve testing methodologies
- Networking knowledge is a strong plus for debugging and optimizing connectivity in test setups
Qualifications:
Lab part:
- Creating and maintaining documentation as it relates to infrastructure, design, configuration, support, and processes
- Experience in lab management and hardware validation
- Knowledge of server installations and hardware setup (Virtual Machines: administration and configuration)
- Familiarity with on-premises and cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Ability to manage hardware inventory, procurement, and logistics
- Experience in building and maintaining test setups for high-performance computing and media processing
- Networking knowledge is a plus (setup, troubleshooting)
QA part:
- Experience in hardware validation testing to ensure compliance with product requirements
- Familiarity with performance validation testing, working closely with Product teams
- Ability to analyze test results and provide insights to support product optimization
- Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- If you have experience or interest in test automation, that’s a great plus!
- Located in Krakow
- Willing to work from office (not fully but regarding Lab part it would be inevitable to be present more often)
- 2+ years of experience
