The Role: Reporting to the Director of Pre-Sales, Americas, the Camera Solutions Architect servs as the main contact for camera pre-sales in North America. As the subject matter expert, the ideal candidate will have a strong background and understanding of high-end video production and the tools that support ‘broadcast quality’ production environments. This includes studio and mobile systems utilizing traditional baseband as well as newer infrastructure, such as 2110.
Regular work with a broad spectrum of users and decision-makers from different sectors such as content production, networks, corporate entities, rental and staging groups, and houses of worship, is to be expected. This role requires a valid driver’s license and, while the position allows for remote work, your home location must be within easy access to a major airport to support up to 50% travel. Additionally, you must be able to occasionally store camera equipment at or near your home in order to prepare for upcoming trade shows and demonstrations, as needed.
Minimum qualifications:
Ability to predict client’s future camera needs and create competitive solutions
Mechanically knowledgeable and self-sufficient
Able to effectively communicate technical concepts to a range of audiences
Strong ability to curate connections with current and future customers to establish a foundation for long standing working relationships.
Strong knowledge of imager and color science, with the ability to showcase cameras
Outstanding verbal and physical presentation skills, including the ability to engage an audience effectively
Superb interpersonal and customer service skills, both one-on-one and in group settings
Strong technical and operational understanding of professional video cameras, baseband, and IP infrastructure
Technical and operational expertise with broadcast and cine lenses
Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications
Excellent command of English for writing, speaking, and reading
Preferred qualifications:
PowerPoint: presentation editing, organization, and slide creation
Image creation and editing using applications such as Photoshop, Gimp, or similar tools
Strong travel coordination and time management skills
Ability to transport and store demo equipment safely, without assistance
Can work in multiple environments including noisy lab, loud stadium environments, etc.
