Join our innovative R&D team in Breda and help shape the future of broadcast cameras! We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who will contribute to the design of housing and cooling systems for camera electronics and optics, working closely with our Mechanical Architect and other disciplines.
What you’ll do
Participate in mechanical design activities throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development to release and maintenance.
Work on diverse aspects of product design, including:
Styling and ergonomics
Reliability engineering.
Structural and thermal engineering
Design for Assembly (DfA), Design for Manufacturing (DfM), and related principles (DfX)
Collaborate closely with other R&D disciplines such as Electrical Hardware, Firmware, Software, and Optical Design.
Support operations during validation and production with for example root cause analysis of issues related to mechanics.
What we’re looking for
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Experience in product design, preferably in professional electronics
Proficiency with 3D CAD and data management, ideally PTC Creo and PTC Windchill
Experience with structural and thermal simulation, preferably Siemens Simcenter FloEFD
Familiarity with rapid prototyping
Knowledge of plastic injection molding and high-pressure die casting
Strong social and communication skills
A proactive mindset with interest and responsibility for all aspects and phases of product design
